SOUTHERN FOREST MACHINERY RACEWAY

TWO STATE TITLES HEADLINE NEW SEASON

August 14, 2017

With the new season fast approaching, the 2017/2018 Calendar is ready to go for what will be one of the biggest seasons the club has seen.

The WA 360 Sprintcar State Title and WA AMCA Nationals State Title headline the new season. The season will also see the return of the thundering Late Models and Super Sedans, plus Speedcars and Limited Sprintcars.

With only six nights of racing, these six nights are jam packed full of Speedway entertainment.

The season kicks off in a huge way on November 11 with the XLI Late Model Pro Dirt Series plus the 2017/18 Street Stock Stampede. This event will be big, with Late Models and Street Stocks in the past combining to put on an awesome night of action.

December 2 will see the first of our State Titles, with the running of the 26th WA 360 Sprintcar Championship. A big field of Sprintcars is expected to assemble in Manjimup for what will be the biggest event of the season.

Added to this will be the Formula 500 West Coast Series. After successfully holding the 60th anniversary State Title here last season, the Formula 500's were the first division locked into the new seasons calendar.

The action does not stop before Christmas when we run round one of USA v AUS Southwest Speedcar Challenge on December 15. This special Friday night show is set to attract a star studded Speedcar field for this special show.

Round two of this series will be held at our partner track, the Augusta-Margaret River Speedway the following night on December 16.

A two month gap will see the club regroup before the next event when the AMCA Nationals return to Manjimup on February 24. This will be the divisions first and only run before their State Title here three weeks later.

March 17 will see the running of the AMCA Nationals State Title. This will be the first time the event has ever been held in Manjimup, and is expected to attract a quality field. Also scheduled for this date is the Super Sedan Summer Series plus our Production feature.

The sixth and final event for the season will be held of April 7 when we welcome back the Limited Sprintcars to Manjimup. They will be supported by the JSRA Junior Sedan Country Series in what will be an action packed way to round out the season.

In season 2017/18 we will continue our partnership with the Augusta-Margaret River Speedway, running club points rounds at each track.
